This is my oldest vacuum, a Singer H9 portable hand vacuum. 170 Watts and replaceable brushes on the motor. Lots of power for what it is. I don’t know when it was made, but probably mid-late 1930’s. Unfortunately the bag is in bad shape so I can’t really use it at the moment. The front nozzle and bag also detach. It probably had other types of attachments available. The rubber power cord is also in need of replacement.
Nice vac. Hopefully you’ll be able to restore it.
is there any other vacuums that singer made
They made some upgrights too as far as I know. I haven’t been able to find any info on any of their vacuums. They must have been a bit rare.
you do know that singer made one other vacuum that i know like that storm upright vacuum
do you have that storm vacuum from singer because i want to see it in action and can you do another video of the vacuum above this time restored and with atachmets
It will be a while before anything else is done with this vacuum, and I highly doubt I’ll be able to find any attachments for it. I can’t even find attachments for my Hoover Constellation, at least not that I can afford 🙂
This is the only Singer vacuum I’ve seen myself, I have no others.
wow, i wonder how it sux on balls…
I have the singer H-11 it looks very similar to this one
My Parents used to have a singer Upright and Canister, both vacuums have long gone to the trash. but we still have the attachments for the canister, dad uses the attachments with his Genie wet/dry vac.
i have the same one, would you know the value?
I’m not sure what it would be worth. I can’t see it being too much, unless it is absolutely pristine and with all attachments.
