Do you put a trash bag inside the cannister if you’re using the dry vacuum?

that will work, but there designed to be used as is, remove the dust filter when using to pick up water, replace dust filter when picking up dust, to empty just remove the top and dump the can out,
Not generally, but you may want to check the instructions. I believe in some you are supposed to remove the filter for vacuuming up liquids, but again check the instructions.
I don’t. I just let the dirt collect in the canister and dump it out.
Would be difficult anyway since the hose intake is usually on the side of the canister.
I have one. No bag is needed. just take the top off and dump the cannister if it is full.A TIP: If you are going to get wet stuff up,empty the cannister first or you will regret it. the wet feature worked great for unplugging drains. I wouldnt use it to bail out my boat or the basement. It will get water out of carpet and furniture. It works excellent for cleaning out stopped up drain pans or cleaning furnaces and removing lint from dryers.
