I am looking for a powerful light weight vacuum. I am moving to a house with all hard wood floors. I need a vacuum that is ok for hardwood floors and maybe even has a cleaning (not just suction) option on it. I prefer a vacuum with a bag (I hate all the dust that accumulates inside a bagless) but am open to options. It would be great if it could also vacuum area rugs too. SOOOO I need one light vacuum that does it all!!!! Thanks
I work for a local vacuum shop, and my best suggestion would be a canister. I am not sure what your price range is, but I would recommend staying away from a Dyson. Dyson’s are VERY heavy, clog fast and noone wants to work on them. I would suggest a Miele Antares, I personally own this vacuum and have a similar situation. I have all tile with some area rugs. The Miele is very light, very powerful, and has all the tools you need. Has an awesome bare floor tool that swivels and has a turbo brush with a brush roller for the area rugs. You can also do fans, blinds etc. Makes cleaning a breeze! A little costly, but has a 7 year warranty and its more than worth its money.
Best by far
My ex-wife, maybe?
Oops, sorry, I didn’t read the whole question as she’s actually a powerful HEAVYWEIGHT vacuum and tends to just suck the life out of you moreso than cleaning floors.
try buying a dog they eat every on the floor
I really liked Oreck, it’s lightweight and perfect for hard floors etc.
I hate the Dirt Devil – didn’t seem to pick up much and I don’t like the plastic canister either.
We have also had good luck with Panasonic, sound engineering, etc but heavier than Oreck. Panasonic has had NO breakdowns in 10 yrs.
Dyson no thanks.
Check the Allergy Buyers Club (online for reviews of high end ones like Miele, Sebo etc.) Next time I’m in the market I’m moving up to a quality engineered one.
Oreck, have owned one for 10 years (the same one) would never use anything else.
8 lbs of a powerful vacuum.
It’s bag is hypo-allergetic
It has a bare floor setting (I use it on my tile floor too)
Great for rugs, carpet, any surface
Initial investment of about $400-700, but you’ll NEVER need to buy another vacuum in your life.
