I bought several samll bags of local caffe three years ago at Hawaii as gifts. I still have three left and wonder if they are still good for drinking. The bag does have expiration day. I am not sure how they come to make the expiration day. I am thinking if it is still in vacuum state, it should be good. But I don’t have experience and data to prove likewise. If the caffe goes bad, what should it taste like?
If it is ground coffee it was stale by the time you got back to the main land.
If it is whole beans then they were beginning to be stale 3 weeks after they were roasted.
Vacuum packaging does not stop the process of coffee losing flavor, and it has absolutely NO effect on Ground coffee.
