Is it less effective , and does it pick up a less ? Also is this extra wear and tear on the vacuum cleaner for me to be using it without a bag ?

The vacuum is still sucking up the dirt/debris. The bag is to catch it. Without the bag, you’re just spewing all the sucked up stuff.
Unless, of course, your vacuum has a dirt cup you can just empty.
i think it would work but it would be a pain to clean
without a bag its not picking up anything anyways so no its not gaonna hurt it but you are wasting your time/
Well there is a reason for using such a bag, i guess.
Why do you use it without a bag?
I don’t think this is really bad. But rather use it with one.
1.. no it is not less effective.
2… it does not pick up less.
3… no.. no no no.
if anything.
its just gonna make it a little more difficult.
to clean out where the bag usually sits.
You’re risking to harm the mechanism. To do it once my mistake it’s not probably that bad, don’t do it again.
If the vacuum is made to have a bag in it, yes, running it without a bag will destroy it.
If you use it without a bag it will probably work a bit better, initially anyway.
But you run the risk of dirt getting into the motor which isn’t a good idea.
I’ve heard of people using their Henry vacuum cleaners without a bag without problems but generally I wouldn’t recommend it.
