Justice for Caylee Marie need help to clarify doubt about: : What kind of Vaccuum Cleaner should I buy?
I have gone through 3 of them within pretty reasonably short amount of time, they all seem to work, for the first vaccuum but after that they start to get clogged. I clean the clogs but they don’t seem to pick up stuff anymore, because it just keeps getting clogged and not going into the waste compartment where its supposed to go after it goes through the hose.
Thanks Mary. the only thing that is clogging my vaccuum seems to be the cat hair I don’t pick up any hard objects or anything.

You should try a Dyson… they are amazing….
Having said that, I think you should also maybe be a little more careful about what you sweep up…

I love my Hoover Windtunel Self Propelled. It has the hose attachment right on board and even tells me when it doesn’t detect any more dirt in the area that I’m vacuuming.
Be sure to lay your vacuum on the floor and flatten out as much as you can, use a flash light and something like a metal coat hanger to run up through the hose to make sure that nothing is stuck. I once swept up a little flat plastic star that got it’s points stuck in the hose. It would trap things trying to get through, but I couldn’t feel it there when I tried to check the hose. Very frustrating.
If it is just cat hair that is clogging it, you are just going to have to vacuum every day to prevent there being excessive amounts to clog it. You say they all work fine until after the first use- that would= seem to indicate you have A LOT of cat hair and are waiting too long between vacuuming if just the first use clogs a new vacuum, or, you have a lot of cats!
I don’t really think it’s the TYPE of vacuum you have that matters as much as all will get clogged with a lot of cat hair. For example I have the vacuum the second poster loves and I hate it. I have also used a Dyson and didn’t think over than it’s great ability to maneuver it was very good and got rid of it.
You need to use OTHER ways besides a vacuum to get up pet hair before you vacuum,, if you can’t vacuum every day. There are pet hair erasers, both hand held and ones that are attached to a handle that can remove large areas of pet hair from where they lay, couches, stairs, etc. There are also comb looking things you can get at Wal Mart in the household cleaning section that look like a large rubber hairbrushes that are specifically made for pet hair removal.
You can unclog your current vacuums as it is usually the hose or wand that gets clogged. Just run a plumbing snake through it. Also, flip ever so often and cut out the pet hair from any brushes. And pet hair in your vacuum bag can make you need a fresh bag even if it isn’t as full as mfgr says to change it or when you would normally change it.
My present vacuum is much cheaper than my previous ones and does much better on pet hair. It’s the Eureka Air Extreme canister vacuum w/ a motorized foot and an attchment called a Power Paw that is PERFECT for removing pet hair from stairs bed ruffle, couches, etc.
