Should I bother buying a vacuum if I have no carpet?

cutesy76 need help to clarify doubt about: : Should I bother buying a vacuum if I have no carpet?
Should I bother buying a real vacuum even though I have all wood flooring in my home? I usually use a broom or my Swivel Sweeper. But the broom just seems like it would spread the dirt around and the Swivel Sweeper just doesn’t have as much suction as a normal vacuum. I’m torn on what to do? Last night I was set on going to buy a vacuum today..and now I’m wondering if it would be worth it?

I use a vacuum and all but one room is hardwood… I prefer it over anything else… It is quick and it picks up great… I have a hoover bagless, and that is so easy too.. no bags to have to buy!!! I think I paid like $ 60.00 for mine… I also reccommend Orange Glow Hardwood floor kit….. it will get you started and then you can buy the refills as you need them… but it is awesome.. it picks up everything, and makes my floors look like new..

  1. Something lightweight with a smooth floor capability would be smart. There’s always that dust and small stuff you can really swiffer/sweep up.

  2. You can always buy one of those smaller, light-weight vacuums. Sometimes they are called an electric broom. I love mine and it suck up wet or dry stuff.

  3. I really sugest to you buying a central vacum you gonna spend much less money investing in future swivel sweeper.

  4. Hi, i wouldn’t bother buying a real vacuum if you don’t have any carpet but companies do make the kind of vacuums that you could use on wood floors. i have tried using a vacuum on my floors but it just blows the dirt everywhere and it’s kind of louder then using it on the carpet

  5. If you have hardwood floors then you shouldn’t bother with a vacuum. I would use a Swiffer they have many types of them. Vacuums can scratch Hardwood Floors. I would recommend the Swiffer Wet-Jet. It is a regular Swiffer and also it has a Wet-Jet that helps to mop up messes you might make on the floor. It picks all types of things since it has both things on it. Also Look at the Swiffer SweeperVac it can help you too. It has a Vaccum for hardwood floors on it. Hope I Helped You.

  6. I think you should. I have all hardwood floors and I love not having carpet. I hate sweeping so I vaccuum and then I mop with my swiffer wet-jet. I absolutely love it. I also love my vaccuum. I have a wonderful Bissell Healthyhome.

  7. Well, later on down the road, you will probably end up buying carpet. You know, being a raging carpet muncher and all. payce dawwgs. xoxo!

  8. Swiffer has a product that has a sweeper attached to the swiffer pad, i use it for my hard wood floors and it works better then a vacuum, and it costs much less. below is a quote from their website

“The Swiffer SweeperVac is the best of both worlds. It has the Swiffer dry cloth to pick up fine debris like dirt, dust, and pet hair, paired with a vacuum to pick up larger particles. In one powerful step, Swiffer SweeperVac gets it all—big and small. It is lightweight, compact and allows you to clean around furniture and appliances with ease.

Unlike traditional methods of cleaning, Swiffer SweeperVac doesn’t require any vacuum bags. The canister can be removed with the push of a button to easily dispose of dirt, dust and
    larger particles. “
