are kirby and oreck vacuums very good?

Em_Lou02 need help to clarify doubt about: : are kirby and oreck vacuums very good?
I’ve been thinking about maybe purchasing a sweeper, but I’d like to get something that will last. I’m just curious, are kirby or oreck vacuums reliable? Do they have any suction? I’ve known a few people who had bissell vacuums and eventually lost their suction. We have a hoover which isn’t too bad but the attachments were so brittle they broke! I just wondered if there was anything else out there that is good quality other than dyson.

I have a Kirby G4 that I bought 23 years ago that is still going strong. It hasn’t lost any suction. I love it. Even the attachments were built to last. It’s all metal construction, which makes it a bit heavier than some other vacuums, but it has a transmission with two settings, neutral and drive that make it very easy to use. The filter bags are very high quality, and trap and hold everything that gets sucked up by the powerful motor. I love my Kirby.

  1. dyson is a super rip off; don’t go there.

    Oreck in in bankruptcy

Kirby is probably the best of the three but costly

I have a meile, very expensive but my first one lasted 20 years, my second is now 10.

if you don’t want to go that high look at Kenmore although there are different levels there too.
