I’ve got both and much prefer the bag less models. It’s easier to dump, plain and simple! Sweeper bags are expensive after awhile and if you have pets and or kids, they fill up pretty quickly. With the bag less models, you just dump them after every use and you’re ready to go the next time.
The bag less models because you can dump them each time you use them don’t develop those nasty stale smells that come from the dirt left in the sweeper. And the suction stays better. After a sweeper bag is 1/2 full, suction is being compromised.
I own Bissell vacuums. Had Hoover and had so many issues with the last one, I won’t go back. My main vacuum is a Bissell Healthy Home model which I really like! It’s got great suction, has the multi cyclonic technology as well has a sealed HEPA filtration system, 5 year warranty, lifetime belt and is easy to use.
Because I hate dragging a sweeper up and down our steep stairs; I have a smaller Bissell that takes bags up there for the bedrooms and the upstairs bath and hall. It works ok but every so often, I make the husband carry the Healthy Home upstairs for a more thorough job on the bedroom carpets.
Both machines are 12 amp motors but the suction is so much better (along with the dirt filtration) in the Healthy Home.
i would get a bagless one…
i have a rainbow and the dirt is trapped in the water, have had a hyla which is the same thing
they may cost more, i dont know… but you’ll not have to worry about running out of or buying the bags..
I have had both kinds and I like my bag less much more, the canister does fill up more quickly, but it is also much more simple to empty. I have the Eureka with the onboard attachments and dust wand both work perfectly for removing cobwebs and cat fur. I would not trade my vacuum for a bagged on at all.
