Is dirt that is picked up off the floor supposed to go inside the little white bag attached to the vacuum, or outside? For some reason, the dirt is sticking to the outside of my bag….is it supposed to be like that? Or am I doing something wrong?

It could be that the "bag" is actually a filter. Is there a compartment beneath the "bag" that is actually there to collect debris? That is how the light vacuum that I am familiar with works. If this is not the case, then there may be a problem with the vacuum…and hopefully you can still take it back.
