    It depends on the plastic and type of odour.

    Most small molecules will leach through plastic, although the rate depends on the plastic, the thickness and the number of layers of plastic in the film.

    Some plastics may contain microscopic holes that allow molecules through (transmission), and other plastics absorb the molecules on one side and then release them on the other side (migration). The vacuum in the bag won’t make much difference to migration but may prevent transmission.

  2. if it’s a truly vacuum sealed bag then they shouldn’t be able to but i guess it depends on the size of the pores in the bag in comparison to the size of the odor molecules
