I have a Hoover Elite Supreme upright vacuum that I love everything about. Size is perfect, attachments are perfect, weight, power, everything. The problem is it’s getting older and has begun shooting it’s front off while I’m vacuuming, which is a little startling! We’ve double checked the bag type we’re using and it’s correct and this happens even with a newly-changed bag! It’s almost funny but not really too convenient and since I’m loathe to part with it since I know I’ll never find one I like as well, my husband strapped a bungee chord around it just to keep it from doing it but it still pops it off. Now the front is held in place when it happens by that, but the bag peeks through the crack and I’m worried it could burst. Any ideas? I know they wouldn’t make this particular model anymore by now.
