good vacuum for under $300?

I’m a college student so I can’t afford the Dyson vacuum. I bought a piece of junk from wal-mart for 79.99 and I made the mistake of getting paperless. When I go to empty it, the stuff just goes everywhere. I would like an attachment on teh vacuum that allows me to get into those wooden doorslots. My roommate is a smoker so there ends up being quite a bit that my current vacuum just ont get. I would prefer a vacuum that has a bag to it.
My mom has an electrolux and she says she loves that vacuum?
I’m looking for only a upright vacuum

  1. The one advertised on the TV is called an "Oreck", the classic model is $299.95 and they pay the shipping and also give you a free small Oreck Compack Canister to clean out your car or cuborards, plus an oreck iron valued at $149 dollars, a nd you can use it for 30 days and if you don’t like it send it back and owe nothing and you get to keep the canister and the iron just for trying the vacuum. It also comes with the bags and not the ones with out that scatteres it every where when you empty it . I used it when I was a cleaning person at a high rise and I had to vacuum 7 floors a day and it only weighs 8 pounds or I wouldn’t of been able to do it. If you have a room mate or pet , and the roomy smokes , sprinkle a little baking soda on the floor before you vacuum and it will take the smell out of the carpet. They have a web site "www.oreck.com/myvacnow" and it gives you several choise’s on what model you want to purchace and comes with a 3 year warranty on the 2 smaller ones and a 10 yr. warranty on the larger priced ones. And best of all if you decide you do not like it you can send it back and they pay the shipping and handling to return it also. They have a toll free number also 1-800-619-7728 that you can call and they will send you a brachure and answer all your questions

  2. I use a Kirby. Buy a used one. They last a long time and has a lot of suction.
You can get bags for it that are hepa filter. It doesn’t let dust out of the bag and float in the air.
