Hoover Bagged Vacuum Cleaner
Does its job well,
Pros:
All tools seemed to do their job and together with the handy extension wand, I was able to get those tough areas on the ceiling and under the couch. The floor brush worked great on my stairs as well. I found that the power nozzle worked well on both the carpets, rugs and wood floors, so the dedicated floor tool is really unnecessary-just remember to turn the brush off when you’re cleaning hard surfaces.
I found this unit had more than enough suction to deal with everything I threw at it-no complaints there. The canister has a variable (5 speed) suction control, which is nice when you want things quieter and don’t need all that power. Together with the suction regulator on the handle, I was able to dial in a combination of settings that got me the speed and suction I needed for the task at hand. Other features: It has a HEPA filter and an automatic cord rewind on the canister. The canister is relatively light when you need to pick it up by it’s handle.
Cons:
This is supposed to be a quiet machine. How quiet is it? Well, that all depends on what you deem as quiet. On a hard surface it registered 80db on my ipad db meter app, around 77db on a carpet with the brush turned off and around 85db on a carpet with the brush turned on. So, it is relatively quiet, relative being the operative word here. Also, the back wheels on the power nozzle squeaked right out of the box. Gotta get some WD40 on there. Also, in an era of bag-less vacuums, it’s sort of a drag that this unit still uses bags. Oh well, I’ll get over it.
In summary, other than the few cons, I am happy with this vacuum cleaner and doubt I’ll be going back to my old upright vacuum anytime soon.
