Not sure how old this is…Late 60’s, early 70’s maybe? It has a clam-shell type lid that you can store the accesories in. Works well! Uses a type J bag.

A nice compact design, would be good for someone with limited storage space.
very cool, i love vintage hoovers
Nice vacuum! Very good condition. Spatsbear would really like this one!
I saw a red one in a thrift store, it was in there for a month. I didn’t buy it because I thought it was missing a wand. I didn’t know it wasn’t after all. My loss.
Hoover sold its first Portable canister in 1963.
However, neither this nor the obviously-thinner Slimline that came out the next year (in 1964) were considered portable enough (if in the sense you wanted to wear it like a purse), so Hoover, in 1970 came out with the Swingette (renamed Portapower in 1975).
I have the same model I found in a dumpster. Mine is light green and tan. Do you know when they were built? How much was yours??
I have had the same model which I bought in the mid 70’s. I need to know the model # of this machine (can’t find it on mine) so I can search for original replacement parts. I need the upholstry brush since mine broke.
Now i found a I robot Roomba 2 and it works great!!!
it might be a model 2210. I dont have mine with me now. The model # is on the manufacturers plate on the bottom.
how much were they asking 4 it??
I’m thinking the red and beige Portable was less than twenty dollars. I found it over a year ago, wasn’t aware there are parts still around.
