Matthew need help to clarify doubt about: : How can I remove the smell of sick from a hoover?
Whilst drunk I stupidly hoovered up sick with the communal hoover in our flat and now whenever I hoover, the room smells of sick and obviously don’t want anyone else to do the same. Is there a quick way to remove this?

Try this:

Remove the filters and wash in warm soapy water with 1/3 cup white vinegar, rinse and allow to dry.
If the vacuum is a disposable bag dust collector model, change the bag. If a non disposable canister type, wash the canister the same way. Make sure all parts are really dry before replacing in the cleaner with some bicarb soda added to the canister.
Both white vinegar and bicarb soda neutralise/absorb odours.
