A vacuum storage bag should hold its vacuum for ever without a leak.
I have the storage bags you add air to. The company recommends letting the air out after 6 mos. and putting new air in to refresh it. That is the Space Srorage bags brands.

if its seasonal clothing you store just add fres air when you change out clothes if its long tome storage at least 1 time a year
