Most toys can be thrown in the washing machine. If you are unsure, then hand wash it. Just use regular detergent. It may have a tag with cleaning information on it.

  1. I have cleaned my toys by handwash and left it out to dry naturally. I just used the laundery powder and some soap

  2. It would help if we knew what the stuffed toy was made of.
If it is made of mostly cotton, or in almost any case, you can run it through the washing maching gentle cycle with cold water and a little laundry detergent. If it doesnt have parts that look like they’ll easily fall off, including those that are glued on, then you can run it through the dryer on medium or no heat, or just hang it up on a clothesline to dry.

  3. Most stuffed toys are surface wash only. Sometimes the stuffing will get bunched up and it won’t be the same if machine washed. Have you checked for a Laundering tag on the toy?

  4. You can use your normal detergents.
    Nothing special.
Just put water in a tub or small bucket and put a small amount of laundry detergent in it.
Scrub the toy with your hands, toothbrushes, and sponges for a real clean outcome.
Afterwards rinse it out and squeeze it in a towel to dry.
Then hang it by the fire or outside for it to dry completely.
you may also want to brush the stuffed toy to be sure the fur or faboric comes out looking the same/ better than it did before it’s washing.
    I hope I helped. =]

  5. Depending on how well made it is you might be able to wash it in the washer. If in doubt, and it’s really important to someone, try handwashing it in woolite, rinse it really really well a few times to get all the soap out, then spin it on spin only in the washer. Let it air dry and fluff it up with a dry hand towel.
If it’s a fuzzy toy the texture of the fur will be different because some of the chemicals put on it will have washed out (sounds like a good thing to me) but at least it will be clean.

  6. So simple. All u have to do is take a towel, wet it a little and spot clean. U can also just through it in the washer with ur regular load.

  7. Whatever you do, make sure you dry it thoroughly. Mold will grow inside the animal if not dried properly, and is a cause for a lot of allergies. Microwave it (for approx. 10 – 30 seconds) to be sure.

  8. Well the labels usually say “surface washable only” but as long as it doesn’t have a music box or something similar inside you can toss it in the washing machine. I use Dreft laundry detergent for everyone in the family because it’s hypoallergenic and cleans very well, so I can’t say if one detergent works better then another. I have two kids and I’ve discovered it works just fine. You can leave it out to air dry and definitely should if it has plastic pellets in it that weigh it down; they might melt in the dryer. The ones that don’t I toss in the dryer during the last 10 minutes or so on low heat to fluff them up and speed up the process.

  9. It is best to clean stuffed toys by hand and you can do this either by dusting with a soft paintbrush just brush downwards do this outside as the dust will get in your home. Or you can put these toys in a paper bag and add about one and half cupfuls of cornstarch and baking soda to the bag and cinch up the top so the mixture does not escape and then just shake the mixture a few times and take the toys outside and dust off with the paintbrush. Thats it your stuffed toys will be clean and you did not have to use any water or ruin them in the washing machine, I have found that stuffed toys get ruined in the washing machine and this idea works great for cleaning toys, I have many collectible stuffed toys that I have had for years and have cleaned them these ways that I have described to you and they still look brand new. Good Luck !

  10. depends on the type of stuffed toy
cheak the lable to see what it says.
if theres no tag and the toy wasn’t expensive then throw it into a pillow case and wash it on gental cycle of your washing machine the toss in the dryer or hang on the line. you can also throw a bunch into the bath tub with a mild cleaner to hand wash them and then put them on a clothes line to dry.
Expensive toys/collectibles should never be washed in the washing machine. you need special care and attention. try getting as much dust off as possable then put in a plastic bag with cornstarch or baby powder and some baking soad and shake. take it outside and shake as much of it off as possable then let it hang on the line for a few hours so the wind will blow the stuff off it. you may also want to put it in a plastic bag with a bounce sheet for a few days to make it smell nice.
cheap stuffed toys can also be sprayed with febreeze to make them smell freash
