I need a new upright vacuum cleaner. What is the best one under $200?

Electrolux is the best vacuum. you can get a used one for 200 and it is worth it.

Honestly, I bought a Bissell (uses style 7 bags and belts) at WalMart for under $ 50. like $ 48. I think it’s cheaper now.

I’m not into spending millions of dollars on a vacuum. at least now we have floors and the bedroom is a commercial carpet, so i use a broom vac. 🙂

Get a Hoover Wind Tunnel that uses disposable bags. I have both a Dyson and a Wind tunnel and the Wind Tunnel still wins when it comes to cleaning well. They are under $ 200.00 too.

i just bought the Bissell Lift-off for homes with pets at target for $ 169.00 and it is a dream. I vacuumed with my old vac first and then followed up with the bissell and not only did the bissell pull up loads of pet hair it also sucked up tons of carpet deodorizer ( I haven’t used that stuff in over two months cause it clogged my old vacuum)
Another perk is that all of the filters are washable and reusable, its bagless, and the the canister detaches from the frame so that you can put a tool on it and walk around without carting the entire thing with you.

this is what u do. go to lowes, buy a five foot piece of bendable hose. go to walmart and get a rubberband. go the tree outside and cut off a branch about 4 foot long. clean the branch so u have a straight branchless stick. use the rubberband to attach the hose to the stick. place other end of hose to mouth, start sucking.

hoover gets my vote also.. my grandmother, mother, and I all use hoover and they have held up fine.. my grandmothers lived for 40years before needing any servicing, and only because the rubber belt finally got old, but the engine was perfect..

Go to a vacuum repair shop. They sell over hauled/rebuild vacuums. We got a very expensive vacuum for 1/2 the price many years ago.
