  1. Find a rainbow distributor, and have a salesman give his pitch. They really are awesome and effective. Actually, a rainbow vacuum is the best I’ve ever used. Now, after the pitch, politely get that man out of your house. New, they are entirely too expensive. Find one second hand, check it out carefully, and buy it. You’ll love how well it works.

  2. I like Bissell. They’re easy to work on, they perform as well as most brands, and they’re cheap.

  3. I don’t have a preference to a certain brand, but do not buy a bagless vacuum! They do not pick up anything after the first or second time you use it, even after you clean the filters.

  4. We resently got a new one. Bagless it’s a bissel. Ben good so far. But bagless is the way to go no matter the make. Also one with an extendable attachment hose really helps.
Though had my choice i’d have a Rainbow vac. but there high end vac. Use water for a filter which makes them good for getting water up if the need be.

  5. Oreck is probably the most prestigious and affordable. They’re the kind that need bags but they’re really effective. Unlike the bagless you probably have, when you turn it on it launches dust into the air? Orecks take dust .. smoke .. everything without kicking it up all over the place and have solid warantees. (dyson does 5 year service as opposed to 21 years on oreck.) Dunno. The selling point of a dyson is that it doesn’t lose suction. An oreck is supposed to filter better than anybody else.

    Luck

  6. Deffinitely a Dyson they get rave reviews everytime, I am even planning on getting one soon Good Luck !

  7. We have had a Dyson for about 2 yrs. It works great is not extremely noisy and we have had absolutely no trouble with it. There is no bag to change, and it picks up everything from cat hair to spilled cereal. We live on a farm and it is difficult not to drag dirt into the house but the Dyson does a great job of keeping our house clean

  8. I personally have a Kirby! yes, it has a bag and is high end but, it has attachments for everything! Hardwood floors shampooing, furniture ect… My Grandma had one when I was a kid and she loved it. I love mine too!!

  9. I have had a dyson now for about two years.
Holds up very well so far. Easy to go from floor use to using the "tools".
It really sucks! Yes thats a good thing.
We are very abusive when it comes to vacuums. We always bought a new vacuum every two years.
The dyson is still hanging in there.
Only disadvantage is A- the price B- the beater bar makes funny noise when bumped against a wall. C-the beater bar needs cleaned out often due to picking up hair and such. When I say cleaned out, I mean take a pair of scissors and cut out all that string, hair and stuff thats wrapped around that bar. Doesnt make it a problem, just annoys me that its all there. LOL
I still like it, but I bought mine before the knock offs are sold now in stores and I often wonder what they are like, they are much cheaper to buy.

  10. Its hard to get a good vacuum for under $300.00 probably. I agree with the others Dyson is great so is Rainbow, however with the Rainbow, my toilet tended to get clogged up when I disposed uof the dirty water LOL.

  11. I have a central vacuum. I am not sorry i spent the extra to get it. No bags, or foam to change. Just once a month dump the dirt. You can get different attachments with the central vac. and most uprights have the attachments to go with them to do both .

  12. Youcan buy a vacum cleaner for carpets and floor. There will interchangeble shoes to change for every surface.Every vacume will equiped witha dust bag.But some with replaceble and others you have to remove and clean time to time.Youcan get the one you want from any shop.
