Personally I prefer bagless.
Had Hoovers for many years (bagged and bagless). They were mediocre (sucking power was only average, and the body of the machines seemed ‘flimsy’), and last year I decided to go another route, after much research….bought a Bissell Lift Off…..LOVE IT, love it, LoVe It.
Sucks up stuff it probably shouldn’t. It’s goooood., and the lift-off feature is a dream…if I want to suck cobwebs off the ceiling, I don’t have to pick up the whole unit, or set it on a chair like I used to. Now I just lift off the cannister, and travel around the house like the domestic goddess I am. Easy for taking outside to clean your car too.
I have had my "Miele" vacuum for over 9 years and its still brilliant…very sturdy and excellent suction. It has bags but you can get a bagless attatchment if that is what you prefer.
I have always been told that a bagless vacuums have better suction then a vacuum with a bag. I prefer Hoover vacuums over the many others that are out there. If you want better suction then I would recommend you purchase the Hoover bagless vacuum.
i prefer the dysons exellent machine or my second chioce would be a vax
