1970 Dial-A-Matic with powerdrive, model 1176. This was the second powerdrive model, in persian gold and seal griege light, medium and deep. The early models had some seriously spastic powerdrive, as evidenced by the one-finger back and forth. This model also featured the headlight and lighted bag check indicator. I hadn’t run this in a long time, it was a trip!!
Is this the one that your mom used to have??? I remeber that you told me at one time you trader her one of these for the model 33.
Or am I just wrong?
Chad
Nope, my mom had an 1178 for a little while before she got her Elite. Fred S. Now has that 1178.
Ahhh…. I see.
Beautiful machine tho.

Cool video of a Dial-A-Matic, I hear it’s called the Dynamatic in Australia. Speaking of which, have you seen that video of the Hoover collector speaking in Australia for the Hoover 100th anniversary there? It’s pretty cool and I was wondering if he was one of your friends.
No, I do not know who the collector is. I do have an Aussie Dynamatic and tools model 1125A.
Does anyone know when the dial a matic 1157 came out?
model 1157 came out in 1971 and ran until 1974
Alright cool, thank you.
I have two Swingettes, and a Commercial portapower. I’ve never been much of a canister person, so my collection of those is kinda small. I think I have two suitcase Portables and one Slimline with a cord reel too. They are ok, but I’m more into uprights.
do you have hose and tools to go with it? how much are you asking for this vacuum?
it sounds so smooth
i like your dog, he look so pure and innocent
Hi, do you now what year the Dial a Matic u6005 came out? Thanks
There was no model U6005. Could you maybe mean U6003?
Yeah I meant 6003 sorry.
The U6003 went from 1974 to 1977
