  1. Ones that use clincly enhanced advancement in the Japanese technique for a brighter clean. Or you could just take a couple hours each day to dab not rub the carpet with seltzer and salt.

  2. Kirby is good and lasts forever, but uses a bag
Rainbow is awesome, it vacuums into water, so you just dump it down the drain.
I hear the cyclone ones aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

  3. . It is not bag-less but it does have a hepa filter and allows you to go from one surface to another by a push of a button , Also cleaning attachments are real handy. Kenmore Progressive canister.

  4. your problem is going from one surface to another. a carpet should always be vacumned with a beater bar attachment, this helps pull the dust up from the pad. a 12 amp motor is recommended. however beater bars do not work effectively on wood or tile surfaces as they tend to just spread the dust. the most effective vacumn on the market today is the DYSON. it is also one of the priciest. a reconditioned one can be bought at FRYS for 200.00 Avoid the SHARK (motor doesn’t last). a cheap, bagless, hepa filtered vacumn can be had for around 60.00

  5. It is hard to be specific, but you might also say if you want a canister or upright. There are so many different models. One important factor is the noise. You need to decide if you or your neighbors can stand the noise. Bagless sounds good because it saves the cost of vacuum bags, but consider the mess of opening the machine and having all that dust fly around and scraping and tapping the filter. The Hoover self-propelled is the fastest that I have found, but it is really noisy and you have to use the control on the front of the machine to go from bare floor to carpet.

  6. I recommend the Dyson. They are bagless and you can just wash out the filter and the canister. I got mine last year and I love it! In fact, I’ve never vacuumed so much! We have 2 dogs and it works well on both the carpet and the hard floor with the fur. I chose the canister model rather than the stand up, but that is personal choice. They only offer one canister model, but they offer many stand up models. LOVE IT!!!
