Miele sells very expensive replacement bags and warn of the dire consequences of using anything other than their bags. How good are the pattern, replacements and do they run any material risk of wrecking the vacuum cleaner?

If you made a piece of equipment that required something to be replaced every so often and you also made the replacement part that had to be changed what would you say to people about a pattern version of the same thing. Say like oil filters for cars or brake pads? If they damage your machine I am sure you could sue them for making something that ‘WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE’
