    When I bought a new plush carpet for my house, I had no idea that I was in for a vacuuming nightmare. My TriStar could not handle the carpet – I had to pick it up and pull backwards, which was ultra hard on my back. So I bought a lightweight Shark Navigator, and likewise, had to pick it up and pull backwards, and it refused to work after 3 vacuums. My local vacuum store recommended the Hoover Elite, and I love it. I can vacuum as though I have a normal carpet. It has a super long cord and great suction. The accessories are very easy to use. It did quit on me once (see one-star review) with the brushroller light flashing. But I checked on the roller, unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it continued like a charm. I don’t dread vacuuming anymore.
