Never benn a Windtunnel fan. I went through two in one year. The only hoovers I owned and like were my Steam Vac Dual V that I’ve had for 9 years and my Elite, which was from the late ’80’s and lasted around 13 years with no problems.
For nearly $2000 I would hope so! Also, ‘better’ is a relative term. If someone’s looking for a lightweight cleaner, they would consider the Hoover much, much better!
We have Kirbys in the UK – we don’t have the Hoover Platinum series yet. If we get them at all, they’ll be badged as Vax, but I have no idea whether Vax intends to launch them here.
Still though. It is better. Do you have them in the UK?
A Kirby can hardly be considered a competitive model; they’re at opposite ends of the market!
