The Hoover model 825 has a rather fascinating and interesting design. The logo on the motor cover resembles a “waterfall” in the unique way the rectangular badge flows down the cover and it follows down on the cover of the chassis in a perfect flow. The Hoover logo lights up on the end of the motor cover which is probably the most brilliant idea and most probably an enormous selling feature for that particullar model. Not shown in the video is again, one of Hoover’s ingenious ideas and that was to install what was called the “aromador”. Built-in to the underside of the cleaner was a device that unscrewed an within the receptacle was a cotton-like material in which was placed a liquid deodorant. It does actually give a pleasant odor when the machine is in use. This cleaner has a 2 speed motor, a headlight and the original suspension bag strap that retracted into the handle via a “roller’ to prevent the bag from “dragging” on the floor if it was full. There should be no question that The Hoover Company was the “king” of the vacuum cleaner industry, then and most probably now. The brilliance of the design and the designers of these cleaners is incomparable!
