does anyone know if its possible to use other brand cleaning supplies, like just carpet cleaner. when i first bought the kirby they told me to call in orders for new bags or the cleaner. but im wondering if i can use another brand like bissel or hoover…?? Thanks in advanced!!
i would only use their stuff… the bags are made special out of plastic… though you can just empty them in the garbage can if you are careful- do it outside!!!!
I believe the Kirby bags are a special fit. You would be better off using them, they are designed for your vacuum to ensure it performs at its best.
I don’t think you will find a different bag that will fit it.
Yes you can use other cleaning products. And you can also use other bags, but you need to take a bag with you and check if they lock in right. They may be smaller, or a little longer, but they will work. I think Hoover will work.
i have a kirby and if you are shampooing i would stick to their products cause it works better and has less chance of damaging your baseboards and stinking up your under carpet padding cause they use a dry foam so it cleans without soaking your carpet. but the bags if they fit one brand is as good as the other but i havent tried any different ones.
