I need a GOOD Vacuum!?

I live in a BIG Manufacteed Home and when we did the REMODEL last year we put in the highest grade COMMERCIAL carpet that there is with 8 inch padding. We did this, because its so easy to care for, high traffic and it looks FABULOUS!
I want a Vacuum that is:
TOTALLY ESSEMBLED
Not real Noisy
Is made for Commercial
Has bags

I own:
Several SHARKS( unbearably LOUD) is baggless(so its so GROSS to empty that filthy cup) weighs a ton
a couple of SMALLER CANNISTERS(great for the new kitchen floor & the bathrooms) but isn’t very effective on larger areas
A Hoover Self propelled 500$ piece of S%$#! This is the biggest piece of junk ever
Dyson: you need a degree just to assemble it!

  1. Electrolux is no 1 in industrial vacuum in Europe. They may not many models in USA but worth finding out.

  2. I would say go for one of the top of the range Dysons.
Here in the UK, you buy them ready assembled. Prices for the top models are £230 – £280.
Depending on what you needs are, you can choose from all-floor models for carpets and/or wood flooring, to the pet models which come with special tools for dealing with cat/dog hair.

  3. and ask about Sebo

it’s a bag-type upright, self adjusting beater bar, cleans very well, including pet hair, and goes together easily (or assembled for you in the store)

to change bags, you unlatch the face cover, slip the bag out of the holder, snap the closure (included) into place, discard the bag, slide the new bag into the holder, and replace the face cover.

to clean the beater bar (this is the one complaint – it does have to be cleaned periodically) push the release button, slide the bar out endwise, clean, and replace.

for bags, you buy a box of 10 bags, and then you buy a "service pack" which is 10 bags, and the secondary filter to maintain HEPA filtration.

the deluxe model includes an upholstery hose with a turbine powered rotary brush, similar to a beater bar.

all the standard tools store on the machine, and it will tell you about a clogged suction path, or jammed beater bar.

the drive belt for the beater bar is not in the sucion path, at all, and I am told is easy to replace. (we’ve only had the Sebo for about half a year, so we haven’t needed to replace the belt yet.)

the only complaint our dealer knows about is that in Hotel use, the cord starts to wear at the point where it enters the handle, after a few years of continuous use.

we bought ours because I was the only one who understood how to make our Sanitaire commercial vac work properly. (you have to set the carpet depth manually on it, and the drive belt goes on in a particular direction)
