My Panasonic Icon picking up half a cup of rice, and 2 bags-worth of tealeaves from a carpeted floor. It’s set to ‘auto’, so it’s relying on the infrared dirt sensor to boost the power when it detects heavy soiling. It has a Direct Drive Agitor – a huge cylindrical brush-roll with 4 rows of bristles, which is powered by a second motor located partially inside it. This design can be found on several current Kemore models in America.
that is acualy quite cool! but what is the like little black thing trailing on the carpet on the left hand side on the sole plate?
prolly edge cleaners cuz its on both sides it im sure is just like the edge cleaners on the sides of orecks
That one was awesome
one of the best uprights of the late 90’s/early 2000’s, great vacuums, would love one
I agree! And one of the most expensive at £250!
I love the Icon, I have 3 of them. I want the TOL bagless model to match this one…
i baby-sat one of those for a while, it isnt a great bagless system, the bagged one is better
I have the mid-range bagless one, with cord rewind and variable power, but without the ‘automatic’ setting. I know the bagless design isn’t great, but I just like the look of the machine!
Did yours have it’s original cyclonic system, or the modification kit?
its quiet
